Vendor Information
The Bird Mart is held in the spring and fall of each year at the Amon G Carter Exhibit Hall of the Will Rogers Memorial Complex on Burnett/Tandy Dr in Fort Worth Texas.
Only birds and bird related items may be sold. The Bird Mart is open to all responsible vendors and breeders nationwide.
Breeder
A breeder is defined as someone who raises birds as a hobby,
selling their surplus as needed.
One of the goals of The Bird Mart has always been to support
the individual bird breeder and the active exchange of breeding
stock.
Breeders are offered an eight-foot table with two chairs in
double lines down the middle of the floor. There is approximately
five feet of space per vendor behind the table.
Breeder tables rent for $40.00 each if payment is received
by April 15, 2008 and $50.00 each if payment is received after
April 15, 2008. The table may be shared by up
to but by no more than two vendors. The number of participants
behind each table must be limited for both ease of movement
and safety of all concerned.
Electricity is available only to certain table sections and
must be arranged for in advance. Breeders must provide their
own extension cord.
Cottage Industry
Cottage industry is defined as someone who builds toys, cages, etc. "in their garage" - a small, home-based business that is not the principle income.
Cottage industry is offered a breeder table for 40.00 each
if the payment is received by April 15, 2008 and 50.00 each
if payment is received after April 15, 2008 in the double
lines down the middle of the floor or an eight-foot table
with two chairs around the perimeter of the room for 75.00
each.”
(There are approximately eight feet between the wall and the table for display or storage of large items.) Additional tables
may be purchased for
$75.00 each.
Commercial
Commercial interest is defined as a major business: bird, toy, grain, etc. which is the principle income of the purveyor.
Commercial interests are offered sixteen feet of table space with two chairs around the perimeter of the room for
$200.00. Additional tables may be purchased at the rate of $100.00.
